Awesome Experience at Delta Sky Club Minneapolis

Delta Sky Club Minneapolis

This post is Delta Sky Club Minneapolis. It highlights my morning experience at the lounge.

This post is part of my Dominican Republic Mission Trip.

Delta Sky Club Minneapolis

Lounge Access

I accessed the Delta Sky Club Minneapolis thanks to my American Express Platinum card.

If you don’t have the American Express Platinum Card, you may be able to access other lounges via Priority Pass. Currently at MSP, the only lounge that you can access is the PGA Golf Experience Lounge where you get a small food and beverage credit for each Priority Pass guest.

Arrival

I arrived at the Delta Sky Club Minneapolis and was immediately greeted by the agent at the reception desk. The agent processed my registration and she welcomed me to the lounge. The agent pointed out the food options and she invited me to enjoy my visit.

The lounge had about 10 other guests present so it felt like a private lounge.

On previous visits, this lounge is normally completely full. It was a nice change and I felt like I could relax in the lounge prior to my flight.

Lounge Setup

The lounge featured a large seating area with several different types of seating. The seating was decorated in blue and red tones and it had a modern feel.

A coffee and soda station is located by the left of the bar.

The coffee station features a modern Starbucks machine that offers several different beverage options. Flavored syrups are available to the right of the machine.

The bar and beverage area was clean and in cold condition and it was stocked with plenty of cups and glasses.

The food area was located beyond the bar and it featured a large buffet.

In the morning, the food options include fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, a variety of breads.

Several hot food items were also available including omelets, sausage, grits and oatmeal. The hot food items had toppings available including cheese, hot sauce, salsa and vegetables.

The food items were setup neatly and the area was fully stocked and signs were present listing each of the items.

The kitchen area was busy with activity as the team members were preparing food.

Lounge Experience

I took a seat at one of the tables and relaxed for a few minutes before I had to leave for my flight.

While I was in the lounge, an agent approached me and made light conversation with me. She was friendly and polite and she made me feel warmly welcomed to the lounge.

I selected a cappuccino from the Starbucks machine.

The cappuccino was served hot. The espresso was fresh and it had a good taste. The milk was creamy and it had a good taste. The cappuccino helped me wake up as I had to be at the airport at 3:30 AM to check in with the group.

From the buffet, I selected an omelet with cheese and salsa as well as a banana.

The omelet was served hot. The omelet was made with cheese. The eggs were fresh and it had a good flavor. The salsa was fresh and it had a good tomato flavor.

While I was sitting in the lounge, I noted that the televisions were displaying a setup message about connecting it to satellite TV box, so no programming was available.

Several staff members were present in the lounge. All the ones that I encountered smiled and welcomed me to the lounge.

Departure

When I was ready to depart the lounge, I approached the reception area and two agents greeted me and they both wished me a good flight.

The lounge activity level remained at around 10 or so other guests.

Overall

The lounge visit to the Delta Sky Club Minneapolis was excellent. I felt that the staff went out of there way to make me feel welcome. It was nice that the agent took the time to talk with me for a few minutes while I was relaxing in the lounge. The cappuccino was excellent and the omelet was good as well. I looked forward to a future visit to the lounge.
