First Friday Favorites – Sapphire and Open Table

In the world of earning points for travel, points are points. And we like to earn them just about any way that we can.

Although I do not have the card link for this , I do have this credit card and will definitely be taking advantage of First Friday Favorites with my Chase Sapphire Card. If you dine out today, you will receive triple points for using your Sapphire Card. This works out perfectly for us because we just happen to be taking a friend to dinner tonight… and we booked through OpenTable.

Sapphire Triple point Fridays

Another way to maximize this is to use your Sapphire Card to purchase restaurant gift cards at your favorite dining place.  As Christmas is right around the corner, it may just be the perfect time to be thinking of your child’s teacher, the postman, your stylist… and friends.  Restaurant gift cards make great stocking stuffers!

OpenTable

Chase is partnered with Open Table on this promotion, so it is also a good way to add some points to your OpenTable account. You are not required to book with OpenTable, however, each online reservation made through OpenTable will earn you points that can then be redeemed for future dining certificates.

Standard Open Table reservations will earn 100 points per dine, however, certain restaurants will occasionally offer 1,000 points specials. OpenTable has access to each restaurant’s real-time reservation system, so any tables booked online should immediately appear on the restaurant’s bookings. Upon arrival at the restaurant, be sure to check-in with the host so your account can be credited correctly.

OpenTable Points
The points you accumulate can then be redeemed for gift certificates valid at any OpenTable location. Every 100 points equals $1 in future dining credit, and your points can be redeemed in one of three increments:

2000 points = $20 OpenTable Dining Check
5000 points = $50 OpenTable Dining Check
10,000 points = $100 OpenTable Dining Check

Information on the OpenTable Rewards system can be found here.

More information can be found on the First Friday Facebook page.

So get out there and dine today! You’ll be happy to be earning those Triple Points!
