American Express and the US Travel Association (a non-profit dedicated to promoting US travel) have teamed up to offer some great discounts and deals with travel brands and loyalty programs. The offerings include hotel packages, points/miles purchases, rental car deals and more. The Daily Getaways usually run for about a month. Some of the past deals have included the option to purchase IHG Points (which is running its own promo now), Hyatt points, and Club Carlson points.
Quantities will be limited and purchases processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Each day’s offering goes live at 1 pm each day and you have to be really quick on the computer to take advantage of some of them. Fortunately, some deals do not appeal to everyone and so some of the offers stick around for a few days. Any purchase made with an American Express card will automatically earn a 10% discount on the price.
