I have written about Silvercar and their promotions before and the latest one is really great!

I received an email outlining the latest promotion which offers you $100 for each person who rents a Silvercar for two or more days using your personal code, now through the end of the year. In addition, if you manage to refer five people the company will pay you an additional $500 on top of the referral fees.

Well, what is in it for you for signing up, you say? Well, I asked Silvercar that very thing this morning. Their response was quick and here is what they say: “They get $25 cash for signing up (the same way you get $100), and they are entitled (and encouraged!) to take advantage of the $50-off first time drive deal we have for all new customers.” So, there you have it. You can receive $25.00 cash for signing up AND you get a $50 off first time credit.

Silvercar pays their referral fees in the form of a VISA card credit. These can be sent to you in the form of an electronic VISA credit or an actual physical VISA gift card (I choose to get the gift cards). I have to admit the first only time I received a referral credit, I wasn’t too sure exactly what the email was when it landed in my inbox. It was from Prepaid Code Center (notification@prepaidcodecenter.com) with this heading:

And then there was a little tiny paragraph which said:

Thank you!  We are pleased to provide you with your prepaid funds.  All you need to do is click on the link below to redeem your promocode and access your funds.

There is no way to track to see if anyone has used your referral link and you will only find out if you receive an email with a link to collect your VISA card.

What makes Silvercar special is that their fleet  is entirely composed of silver Audi A4 sedans. And these rentals come with the following perks:

Some finer print: $100 reward only earned upon the completion of a new customer rental of two days or more. Qualifying referral reward payments will be made every Friday starting 11/14/2014 through 1/9/2015 with the exception of 12/26/2014 and 1/2/2015. New customers are defined as anyone that has not previously completed a Silvercar transaction. Qualifying transactions must be booked and started after 11/5/14 and on or before 12/31/14. Existing reservations that are canceled and rebooked are not considered qualifying transactions. Referral codes cannot  be applied (retroactive or otherwise) to started or finished transactions. “Cash” will be paid in the form of a pre-paid Visa debit card offered through Prepaidcodecenter.com. As part of reward redemption, referrer has the option to select virtual debit card for immediate use or have physical card mailed to them.
