Do you like all things aviation related? Do you consider yourself an AVGeek? Well this just may be the event for you!  Sponsored by Airline Reporter, Aviation Geek Fest takes place in Seattle, Washington, the weekend of February 21st. If last year’s event is anything to judge by, the Geek Fest promises to be outstanding.

On Saturday the 21st activities will take place at Paine Field in Everett and the Future of Flight will be the event headquarters for the day. On Sunday the 22nd, participants will head down to at Boeing Field and the Museum of Flight will be the event headquarters for the day.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on January 22nd and it looks as though you will need to set your watch for this as last year the event was sold out in three minutes! They do have a wait list in case you don’t manage to get in early. There will be two ticket types – Full Event Tickets and Mini-Tickets – although the final price point has not been set.

Last years events included a trip to the Museum of Flight, a VIP tour of the 737 factory, and a Tour of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Factory Floor. If the review of the event and the pictures are just a small bit of what you will experience, I know that you will have an incredible time. I was lucky enought to be with a group on StarMegaDo in 2010 and we toured the Boeing Factory at Paine. We were one of the first groups able to tour the Dreamliner assembly floor.  It was an experience I will never forget!

  1. Aviation Geek Fest is so cool. It is great when a bunch of like minded individuals get together and have it all be centered around aviation. Can’t wait!
