A Thank You Bonus from IHG Rewards Club…

Check your email for an email from Points.com, or possibly IHG Rewards Club. From January 14 to January 31, you can receive a bonus of up to 75% on each buy or gift purchase. This looks as though it may be targets to those who purchased or gifted points with IHG Rewards Club in 2014.It was far better than my Into the Nights promotional offer. I registered for that promotion, but did very little to fulfill it. 

Points may be purchased in 1000 point increments and are priced as follows:

• 1000 -10000 points for $13.50 per 1000
• 11000 – 25000 points for $12.50 per 1000
• 26000 – 60000 points for $11.50 per 1000

If if you were to maximize this, which is the best deal, the cost of 60k points would be $690 or 1.5 cents per point. A 75% bonus would give you an additional 45k points lowering the cost per point to a little over half that or 0.6 cents per point which is not a bad deal with redemption in mind. IHG Points are typically valued at about 0.7 cents each so this offer puts you slightly under that.

In September, the offer was for 100% Bonus Points and I definitely took advantage of that offer. I really like using my IHG points for stays at Intercontinenal properties around the world.
