Snowmass Colorado in Early Fall at the Viceroy Hotel

This is a guest post by my very good friend, FlyingDetective.

I arrived in Denver from Maui and checked into the Viceroy about 5 hours later, mid-week in September, for 3 night stay.  There was no snow on the ground in Snowmass, contrary to the name, but the views are still breathtaking.

There’s not much to say about the Viceroy hotel except one thing: it is awesome!  This particular location has high end finishes on literally everything including on the in-room espresso machine, washer and dryer, and the gas fireplaces in the master bedroom and living room, and of course a full kitchen.  If you are into skiing you will notice the lift is at the base of the building, you can literally get on the lift as you walk out of the resort and ski back down to your room.

If you have never stayed at a Viceroy it is really worth it.  The restaurant food was delicious and the plating and taste mae it was obvious that the chef had some great culinary training. The bathrooms were well stocked with shampoo, body wash, lotion, and conditioner from Neil George.

Pricing in Snowmass is not  cheap, and the food was moderately expensive compared to other destinations, but not overly expensive when compared to other similar areas, such as Aspen.

The Viceroy has locations throughout the world, and they have a rewards program as well.  You can find out more at their site, Viceroy Resorts.
