Many of you follow me via RSS, and Google Reader in particular. With the imminent demise of Google Reader, I thought now might be a good time to share all the different ways you can stay connected with Food, Wine, and Miles.
Over 1000 people are now following this blog across various social media platforms (a figure that both amazes and humbles me), and there’s something for everyone:
If you want to make sure you never miss a post
Subscribing to the blog via RSS or signing up to receive notifications about new posts via email (signup form is over there on the right side) are the best option for you. I follow a lot of blogs, so RSS works best for me. I use Feedly, and while it took a little getting used to after making the switch from Google Reader, I quite like it now. If you’re still using Google Reader, you may want to make the switch this weekend, as it shuts down on July 1st. Feedly has a handy 1-click import of all your Google Reader feeds. Also – if you use Chrome, you can also install this extension which will make Feedly look just like Google Reader

If you want to take a break from Facebook-stalking your friends from high school
I share all new posts to the Food, Wine, and Miles Facebook page – so seeing them show up in your News Feed might be a nice break from your regularly-scheduled programming
If you like to look at pretty pictures
You may not have realized that I’m on Instagram! Lot of pictures of delicious food, with some pretty scenery, travel geek stuff, and assorted other items of interest sprinkled into the mix.
If you want to carry on conversations beyond what gets covered in blog posts
In addition to sharing new posts and updates via Twitter, I also really like to have conversations about topics that don’t necessarily make it into blog posts, and to exchange tips, tricks, advice, and more. You can follow me at @FoodWineMiles, and feel free to tweet at me if you have questions I might be able to help with, or just a story you’d like to share.
If you’re on Google+
Everyone likes to poke fun at Google+, but I actually really like it. If you’re on Google+, you can add Food, Wine, and Miles to one of your circles to stay up to date.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
