Fairmont is partnering with Dean & Deluca to “Bring the best of Napa Valley to your table with Fairmont Vintages – exclusively for members of Fairmont President’s Club”.
They don’t provide a lot of specifics, but here’s what they have to say:
In partnership with Dean & Deluca, we are delighted to offer those members of Fairmont President’s Club who love fine wine, an exclusive opportunity to join Fairmont Vintages. Each quarter, Fairmont Vintages brings the best of Napa Valley directly to your doorstep with two carefully selected wines along with tasting notes and food pairing suggestions to create a true culinary experience.
Choose from the following levels of membership:
Vintage Select – $400* annual membership, shipping included
Our introductory tier, is perfect for those who love a good bottle of wine and would like to expand their tasting knowledge to include small, artisan wineries that aren’t available to many outside of Napa Valley. Whether a gift, or for yourself, this is an excellent selection for the wine enthusiast.
Vintage Reserve – $575* annual membership, shipping included
Our Vintage Reserve tier, presents a curated collection of some of the most unique wines coming out of Napa Valley today. In addition to the wine & tasting notes each quarter, you will receive two complimentary passes to a customized, private wine tasting for your next visit to Napa Valley. This unique experience will provide you the opportunity to taste eight exceptional wines released from Napa Valley that season.
Vintage Marquis – $1125* annual membership, shipping included
Our highest tier of membership, provides exclusive access to the very best, hard to find wines that Napa Valley has to offer. Dean & Deluca’s wine director, Kerrin Laz, has forged relationships with the wineries making the most sought-after, compelling wines and can now bring them to your cellar. Cult is not a word that we throw around often, but that epitomizes this club. In addition to the wine offering each quarter, you will receive two complimentary passes to a customized, private wine tasting for your next visit to Napa Valley. This is an exclusive opportunity to taste the eight best, “cult” wines released from Napa Valley that season.
*Taxes not included
Pretty steep prices, especially considering they’re essentially asking you to put your blind faith in Fairmont’s and Dean & Deluca’s taste in wine. I’ve never been a big fan of these loyalty-program-affiliated wine clubs, and I’ll be passing on this one as well.
