Sign Up For ANA Mileage Club, Save At Bloomingdale’s

Savvy miles and points collectors know that it’s good to have an ANA Mileage Club number, because it makes it a bit easier to use their great Star Alliance award search engine. It’s also a solid program with some really attractive spots in their award chart (e.g. US east coast to Western Europe for 68,000 miles in business class), and happens to be a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards. But I’m not here to talk about any of those things.

I want to offer a big thanks to harvson3 over at the TravelBloggerBuzz comments section for reminding / alerting me to the fact that simply being a member of ANA’s Mileage Club entitles you to special perks at some local businesses in several cities across the country (Rapid Travel Chai actually wrote about this a while back, and that’s where I remember it reading about it for the first time). Most of the businesses are random Japanese restaurants, karaoke bars, and hair salons / spas – and showing your ANA card can get you a small discount, free desert / appetizer, or other small perks. I can’t vouch for any of them (apart from Sing Sing Karaoke here in NYC), but one partner that caught my eye was Bloomingdale’s.

Here’s the ANA Mileage Club member benefit at Bloomingdale’s:

Receive a 15% all-day savings certificate at the Visitor Center/Customer Service Desk, and also a Bloomingdale’s signature gift with same day receipts of $300.00 or more in NY and $200.00 or more in Chicago, Miami, and San Francisco.

Not bad at all – show your Mileage Club card, get a 15% discount and a “signature gift”!

You can read more, and search for other vendors here. Here’s a direct link to the Bloomingdale’s page as well.

If you’re not already signed up for ANA’s Mileage Club, you can do so here.

Anyone planning to take advantage of this offer?

The “Chelsea Outlet Mall” is also very interesting:

There are 30 of them across the USA and the coupon books usually require you to sign up for their club and jump through hoops. Nice find, Jason!
