My husband and I both received targeted offers for 25,000 American AAdvantage miles for opening a checking account and making five or more debit card purchases for two consecutive months. We received this offer because we both have Citi Bank AAdvantage VISA cards. These credit cards we opened in the August, when we were offered 75,000 American AAdvantage after spending $1,500 on each card.

There is a Citi Bank branch in Willow Grove, Pa. We went in yesterday and each opened a checking account with $100. The bank manager did need to see the targeted offer we received in the mail. Our temporary debit cards were made right at the bank and today we will begin to make our five purchases for the month with our new debit cards.

Both of my sons opened Citi Bank AAdvantage VISA cards in October, but have not yet received this targeted offer. Hopefully these targeted offers will be arriving in the mail for my sons soon, so they too may earn an additional 25,000 miles.
