Maybe I am addicted to getting hits for the US Airways Grand Slam 2011. I went from being happy with 10,000 bonus points to now thinking it is possible to get 100,000. Three more hits have now posted to my Dividend miles account, both my Marriott and Starwood transfer of points and 1800flowers.com purchase. That makes 5 hits that have already posted to my US Airways account.

So what happened next, I start dreaming about getting car rentals in NYC for an hour at a time. We will be in NYC celebrating my son’s new job at the end of the month. Do I have time to rent a car each day and not ruin our fun? Do I really want to drive a car in NYC? Should both my husband and I each rent our own cars, so both of us get hits at the same time?

Here is what I decided for my next hits:
Hit #20 – Thanks Again – Purchased a restaurant.com certificate for $1.50 that I plan to use at a restaurant in Albuquerque this week for fish tacos for lunch. Yum! I used the promo code “DATE” for 70% off good through I believe this Thursday. Hit #21 – Flowers for my birthday next month. My husband ordered them from Teleflora and used my Dividend miles number. Here is the link for the Grand Slam promotion. Teleflora It even says, “earn 1 HIT PLUS earn 25 miles per dollar spent!” So I get to enjoy flowers for my birthday, 750 miles and one Grand Slam hit. One happy birthday for me!

Hits #23 -26 – 4 of my 6 Hotel Stays
Two separate one night stays at the Sheraton Albuquerque. We need to earn 200 miles per stay to qualify for each hit. My rate of $89 per night including breakfast will give me enough points per stay for two hits since I am a platinum member earning 3 miles per dollar. Hilton Santa Fe at Buffalo Thunder great prepaid rate of $68 with tax it comes to $76.16. If you have a Hilton stay before next month and have not yet register for their current promotion. Hilton Promotion Make sure your My Way choice is for points and fixed miles and you will receive 1,000 US Airways miles for stays at Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree, Waldorf, Conrad and Embassy Suites through the end of the month and of course a hit with each stay. There is a long of hotels excluded from this promotion.

In NYC we are staying at the Westin for one night on cash and points stay for $90 plus 4800 points. I will earn miles on the cash part of my stay, enough points for me to earn another hit.

Hit #28 – Best Western Hotel Transfer

I want to buy 5,000 points and then transfer those points to 1,000 US Airways miles for a hit. A person actually calls you to place your order to purchase points. I am waiting for my call. Hits #29-31 Three Hertz hourly car rentals in NYC. From my hotel in NYC I plan to walk and rent a car each day for the three days I will be in NYC. My plan is to book these rentals in the next day or so. Any suggestions?
Hit #32 – Buy US Airways Miles I am waiting for a new bonus before I get this hit.
Hit #33 – Share US Airways Miles My husband will share his miles with me and we will both get a hit. Again, I am waiting for a new bonus before we get these hits.
Hit #34 – Hotel stay in Dallas at the Element hotel $99 rate, enough Starwood miles for a hit.
