If you missed Southwest’s last 50,000 bonus points offer for their Visa credit card from Chase, a new offer is now available. With these points you can get more than $800 in free Southwest flights, if you use it for their Wanna Get Away fares. The annual fee is $69. This new offers requires you to make $1,000 in purchases with the card within the first three months. As a card holder you also receive 2 points for each dollar you spend on Southwest travel and Southwest hotel and car rental partners. Here is the link. There is also a business version of this card. The link is here.
For me Southwest is a great airline when flying in the US because of its flexibility, no baggage fees and easy of making changes to reservation even when you are using points. Here is the link to my recent post about making changes to Southwest flights when using Rapid Rewards points. Making Changes

Something about Southwest no one has yet mentioned; effective Aug.1, they are dropping the foreign exchange fee for their Premier card. I received this from SW a couple days ago by mailer. Looks as if they’re feeling the heat from the others that have dropped their fee.
