I love vacationing to the beach as often as I can and I was trying to figure out how to get to Florida since I always have fun there. New Girl in the Air had a post about spring break ideas and it gave me the idea to go to Miami this year. I didn’t have any more Avios points but I did notice that the AA citicards reduced mileage awards has Miami, FL as a destination during their second quarter (April-June) for 17,500 points RT. After a 10% rebate you get as a cc holder, the total cost would be 15,750 points. I think this is a great redemption considering tickets are going for $400 on AA currently from IAH.
For a hotel, she suggested going to the Bentley Hotel by Hilton. During June they are going for about $300/night or 50,000 points. Luckily I have 2 Hilton weekend certificates that I need to use before they expire so I will be able to use them here!
I can’t wait to take advantage of this view!
