Airlines Celebrating Earth Day

Happy Earth Day! Have you done your part to be green such as recycle, reuse, or reduce waste?

Airlines have taken a part in making our world a greener place.

Virgin America is teaming up with California State Parks for its 6th consecutive year by clean up the shoreline, plant trees, assemble picnic tables and landscape, to help restore and preserve the park. You can also help offset the carbon emissions of their flight via the nonprofit Carbonfund.org.

Jet Blue is having a One Thing That’s Green contest and for every entry received, Jet Blue will plant a tree up to 25k trees.

United is celebrating Earth Month by announcing that they have a commitment to save 85 million gallons of fuel this year under their Eco-Skies program.

Southwest Airline celebrates with its Second Annual Month of Giving which includes volunteering, promoting awareness, and working with the National Wildlife Refuge Association.

Delta Airlines is celebrating Earth Month by matching up to $25,000 of carbon offset contributions made by customers during April in partnership with The Nature Conservancy.
