This is Why The JW Marriott is top 5 in Cancun

Infinity pool

I vacationed in Cancun, Mexico and stayed at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa for 5 days for 120k points as a category 7 (Update: This hotel is now a category 8 and requires 160k points for 5 days) and I have to say that this hotel is awesome! From the excellent service to the view from the balcony to the gorgeous beach to the delicious food, this hotel definitely deserves to be ranked highly for a place to stay in Cancun.

The restaurants at the JW and the Casa Magna Marriott next door includes:

-Gustino, an Italian restaurant with Greek decor
-Sedona Grill with the $30 brunch buffet (discounted to $15 with Marriott Vacation Club presentation) with a wide variety of fruits, pastries, seafood, cheeses, Mexican dishes, and the typical American breakfast items, this was amazing but for the price, this was only a one time visit.

  1. Something profoundly wrong with paying $30 to eat breakfast in Cancun Mexico.

    • Not gonna lie, food here is definitely over priced at the hotels and nearby. I’ll do another post of where I went to get real Mexican street tacos for $1 🙂

  2. That pool looks incredible!

  3. I had an outstanding Sunday Mexican brunch at Hacienda el Mortero at The Krystal – as the first part of being softened up for the timeshare presentation! They paid so I have no idea how much it was. It was a phenomenal spread with a very pleasant, laid-back atmosphere, I’ll definitely go back next time I pass through Cancun, though it will be on the way to other less-developed spots.
