Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk is the Perfect Location!

I love San Antonio and the Riverwalk but I have never stayed downtown. I wanted to try the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk and I thought it  had the perfect location. It is right off the river, a short walk to the mall, and right across the street from the Alamo.

Rooms run around $200 but you can also use 15,000 points for a standard King room

When checking in, there is a computer you can do this at with an attendant to help. Since I had platinum status, I received free internet. The lobby is on the street level and the Riverwalk is on the lower level which has a cool water feature.

To get to your rooms, you need your key to access the elevator which keeps people not staying here out. The room I stayed at was nice but faced away from the river.

When at the hotels, I love checking out the pool and gym and I thought they were fantastic. The pool is on the rooftop and has a bar. The gym is probably the best hotel gym I’ve seen. Gotta stay fit on vacation!

They also had a great dining area with a breakfast buffet that will cost about $20. There is also an outdoor patio area.

The only drawback is the expensive parking. $25 for self park across the street and $35 for valet. Here is a tip. If you aren’t going to need your car all weekend, don’t tell the front desk you self parked. When you leave, tell the parking attendant it is your last day and your key isn’t working and they will let you out.

For another perspective of the hotel, check out Mommy Points post of her stay in a suite.
