Hilton Citicard Targeted Bonus Not That Great

I received a targeted Hilton Citicard Bonus offer where after I register,  I will get an additional 1 point for every purchase made at electronic & computer stores, clothing, toy, and department stores. This is in addition to the 3 points you will get for everyday purchases. The max bonus points for this promotion is 2,500 and goes through 12/31/13.

To me this promotion is not very lucrative because Hilton points are worth a lot less post devaluation. Although Cat 1 rooms start at 5k points, the rooms I am usually interested in are from 30k-70k

I have min spends and Chase targeted offers that I have to meet that I won’t be jumping on this but that doesn’t mean I won’t register because you just never know.
