Virgin Atlantic CC Spend Bonuses Received

Virgin Atlantic by Bank of America

Virgin Atlantic really wants me to use their new Mastercard product this year. I first was targeted for a 5k bonus in Nov 2013, and now they gave me two new offers.

These seem to be targeted and did not require me to register.

The first is I would need to spend $500 at grocery stores or restaurants between 1/15/14 to 3/31/14 and I would earn 2,500 miles. This is super easy as I could get a Visa gift card from a grocery store and load to my BlueBird card.

The second is that if I spend $15,000 before my cards 1 year anniversary date,  I would receive 7,500 bonus points. These are in addition to the 22,500 points I would already be receiving as I get 1.5 points/ $ spent on this card.

So what could I use these Virgin Atlantic miles for? Well, MileValue has a good writeup of how you can go to Europe one way for 13k -16k miles + $100 this summer depending on your airport location. He also has suggestion on how to come back using other airlines to reduce your out of pocket costs.
