The Points Princess pointed me to this flyer talk thread that stated someone had found a mistake hotel fare for $10 per night at the Marriott Seattle TownPlace Suites. The “deal” is dead now. but I am going to Seattle twice this year so decided to make several reservations and hoped that they honored them.
Well I finally received an email saying that they will not honor them and they have already canceled all my reservation, however, I can rebook the original nights at a 25% discount as a “goodwill gesture”. Since rooms are costing $93 per night for dates in April I wanted to go, the room will end up costing $70 + taxes.
If I book 2 rooms for the night, I will be able to earn a free night at a 1-5 cat hotel from the Mega Bonus promotion that is currently going on and will cost me about $140+ taxes
So basically I could be getting a “free” stay and it is near the airport and the Marriott where the FTU will be held this year which is currently sold out. Sounds like a great alternative that I could take advantage of. Its no $10 rate but it’s still a decent deal.
