I was pleasantly surprised at my stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites at Virginia Beach. What is great about the hotel is that rooms have ocean views which makes it great to see in the morning or leave your patio door open to sleep to the sound of the ocean. The hotel is also at the north end of the boardwalk which makes it feel less crowded than if you were to stay further south.
The beds were extremely comfortable and they make you feel welcome.
As a Platinum member I also received free breakfast buffet for me and a guest. The breakfast was great! It had bacon & sausage, fruit, pastries, waffles or pancakes, and you can have omelets made to order.
What I think makes this hotel great for kids is the outdoor and indoor heated pool area
a kids area to interact with turtles,
and a movie theater with scheduled movies throughout the day.
Looking at the website, the hotel could run close to $300 during Labor Day weekend but you can book a room with 35,000 IHG points.
I highly recommend this hotel for families with kids.
