Holiday Inn Desert Club Resort in Vegas Review

I stayed at this IHG property for 3 nights as part of the Holiday Inn Club Vacation timeshare deal. This property was acquired by IHG about 3 years ago and they are currently making updates to all the rooms in the property. It is located east of the strip near the Quad and Flamingo and it is within a 5-10 min walking distance from there.

The room was ready when I came to check in and the front desk reminded me about my timeshare presentation. The hotel also has shuttles that go to certain areas of the strip at select times. I gave them my Platinum number as well just in case to earn any points for incidental charges. They don’t have free continental breakfast but they do have a small eating place on site for you to get food.

The room was a large suite with a living room and kitchen which is supplied with all the utensils. It would be great for families here as there is also a sofa couch for your children or family to sleep on. There is also a balcony for you to sit outside to enjoy your breakfast or coffee. Here are some pics of the suite. The only bad thing about the room was that there was just a small space between the wall and the foot of the bed so you felt you had to squeeze to pass around it.

The resort also has 5 pools for you to relax or for your kids to play in and there are outdoor grills nearby. There is also a game room on site with a pool and ping pong table and 2 fitness centers on site as well.

Since this stay was part of the Timeshare presentation, I just had to pay about $30 for tax charges and that was it.

If you are interested in staying at this resort on points, you can redeem 35k IHG points for a 1 Bedroom Villa but honestly, I’ve seen prices for 2 Bedroom Villas for for a low cost which would be great for a family weekend getaway.
