A Great Benefit of the Club Carlson Visa to Disappear

If you have a Club Carlson Visa credit card then you most likely have received an email of the news. Starting June 1, 2015 you will no longer be able to get a free bonus night on your award stays.

I have used this benefit multiple times for my hotel stays and I have written about my trips to Austin, Chicago, and Rome. This benefit was by far the best out of all hotel credit cards because you could stay a weekend for the price of one day on points.

To replace this benefit, they have replaced the offer with a free night to use in the US when you spend $10,000 annually. This is in addition to the 40,000 bonus points you receive upon your annual renewal.

To lessen the blow of taking away this benefit, they are targeting card holders by offering 30,000 bonus points if they complete a stay and pay with their Club Carlson credit card by 8/31/15.

You can also register to receive triple Club Carlson points if you complete a stay by 6/28/15.

Check out the Frequent Miler’s post on how to maximize Club Carlson points in light of the change.
