Hyatt Centric Reservations Available in Chicago and Miami

Hyatt Hotels had announced early 2015 that they were starting a new brand “Hyatt Centric” which is supposed to be a more hip brand with rooms that are modern and stylish with a more open feel.

They are currently focused on opening these hotels in 12 cities, mostly in the US.

Currently the only hotel open is in Chicago located in the loop. Looking at the hotel pictures, the rooms looks very simplistic with a modern feel.

This hotel is currently a category 4 which means that it will only cost 15k points to book a standard room or you can use that free night certificate that you can get with your Chase Hyatt Visa Signature Card. On a related note, here is a post on how to book a room with a free night certificate.

Another Hyatt Centric hotel in South Beach is now accepting reservations starting June 1, 2015. This hotel is a category 6 and will cost 25k points a night to book a standard room. They didn’t have any actual photos of the room but here is an image they had on the website:

The hotel is walking distance to the beach and looks like a newly constructed hotel. Just as a word of warning, if you book in early June, there could be a chance that the opening day could be pushed back like my experience with the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in the Bahamas. So make sure your plans are flexible or have a plan B just in case.
