Amazon Prime Now is a fairly new concept where you can get select products delivered to you within one to two hours. It is only available to Amazon Prime members and only in select cities including Seattle/Tacoma, Portland, San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Dallas Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Chicago, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Tampa Bay Area, Orlando, New York City, Manhattan/Brooklyn, Baltimore, Washington DC, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Minneapolis.

In order to use the service, you have to download the Amazon Prime Now App to your smartphone. You can then sign into your Amazon account and start added products to your cart.

Since I like a good deal, I decided to order some toiletries and non perishable items and was able to select the time frame that I wanted my items to be delivered. I ordered around $50 worth of items and the total came out to around $37 which included a $5 tip.
Since I live in Houston, I doubted my 6-8pm time frame selected since that is usually the worst traffic time period but sure enough, they delivered them within that time frame and I didn’t have to go to the store to do my shopping. How nifty is that!
Curious about that $5 tip. Is this normal now – should we subsidize Amazon employees’ and /or their partners’ wages so they dont have to pay a fair wage?
Good question. It was automatically included and I missed the part where you can change the amount but it looks like you can.
