Houston After the Hurricane

I’m sure many of ya’ll have been watching the news about the destruction caused by one of the worst floodings in more than a century in the US. I thank ya’ll for the messages and prayers and support many of you have sent and I can’t say enough of the people that have pulled together to help one another in this dire time of need.

I wanted to share some updates of ways you can still help and general information about Houston.

Ways to Donate

Houston Food Bank is a non profit org that is accepting donations and is in need of volunteers.

Houston Diaper Bank is a non profit org that is accepting monetary and diaper donations.

Austin Diaper Bank is a non profit org that is accepting monetary and diaper donations. You can even order on Amazon to be delivered to their location. These diapers will help aid Hurricane Harvey victims.

Gallery Furniture owner Jim Mcingvale  aka “Mattress Mack” has opened up his furniture store to house victims. He set up an Amazon wish list for you to buy cleaning supplies to be given to victims. This is not a non profit and items make take a while to arrive due to limited delivery but are much needed.

For any Austin residents, there is a very useful donation resource page here.
