Charleston is a quaint city by the harbor with good eats and lots of history. If you would like to get more out of this city, I highly recommend a walking tour. A guide will take you around downtown and point out the significance of historic buildings, burial site of historic figures, and explain the details of what makes Charleston a unique city.<\/p>\n

If you are also interested in visiting plantations and learning more about southern history,\u00a0here is a list of places of interest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charleston is also know for its low country food, so expect to see items on the restaurant’s menu such as shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, and she crab soup, which were all delicious (and I don’t like grits). This city also celebrates its food with Oyster Festival <\/a>, \u00a0the\u00a0World Grits Festival<\/a>, and a Food and Wine Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, Charleston has an active nightlife with bars (many found on King St.) which would make a fun place for a pub crawl. Here is a comprehensive list of bars to check out <\/a>in this city.<\/p>\n
