{"id":2469,"date":"2014-03-02T15:32:45","date_gmt":"2014-03-02T22:32:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/?p=2469"},"modified":"2014-03-15T11:42:04","modified_gmt":"2014-03-15T18:42:04","slug":"day-2-milemadness-office-max-rant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/2014\/03\/day-2-milemadness-office-max-rant\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 2 of #milemadness: Office Max Rant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I was suppose to have an easy day of Visa GC churning at <a href=\"http:\/\/quickdeals.frequentmiler.net\/2014\/02\/officemax-15-off-250-in-visa-gift-cards.html\" target=\"_blank\">Office Max with this deal <\/a>but the coupon wasn&#8217;t working nationwide because they didn&#8217;t have the right giftcards in stock. Well I&#8217;m thinking, the ad doesn&#8217;t specify a type of visa, they all look the same to me! So here is my success\/fail:<\/p>\n<p>OM#1 &#8211; Manager overrode the system and gave me the credit so only paid $500 for $500 in giftcards. So broke even and made 2,500 in Ultimate Reward points using my Chase Ink<\/p>\n<p>OM#2 &#8211; Staff charged me for the full total including fees but issued me a refund of $30. So total cost 499.75 and another 2,500 UR points.<\/p>\n<p>OM#3 &#8211;\u00a0 They had giftcards in stock but wouldn&#8217;t give me an override or refund of $30. Manager gave me his card and said to call to check when they get the correct giftcards in.<\/p>\n<p>OM#4 &#8211; They pulled all the Visas off the rack and told me to come back another day.<\/p>\n<p>Ok OM&#8230;why would you have a promotion and not make sure you have the appropriate cards in stock! I have a <a href=\"http:\/\/saverocity.com\/travel\/themanufactured-spending-tournament\/\" target=\"_blank\">churning contest I&#8217;m trying to win<\/a> \ud83d\ude09 So I gave up my search for the day and moved on to other items.<\/p>\n<p>I did $1,000 in Paypal cards, $1,000 in Visas and unloaded via bb, and $2,000 in MO with Suntrust.<\/p>\n<p>Man trying to churn this much everyday is going to be exhausting&#8230;I&#8217;m already loosing momentum and it&#8217;s only day 2!
