Here are some pieces I took pictures of while here:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2014\/10\/20141006_192822.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3501\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2014\/10\/20141006_192822.jpg\" alt=\"20141006_192822\" width=\"327\" height=\"431\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Probably the most prominent sculpture is\u00a0Jaume Plesa&#8217;s Wonderland statue which is\u00a0outside the Bow Building. From far away it looks like it&#8217;s made from pliable mesh but it is actually made out of metal. You can even go inside the head. It looks better at night because it is illuminated.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2014\/10\/20141010_113714.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3504\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2014\/10\/20141010_113714.jpg\" alt=\"20141010_113714\" width=\"338\" height=\"445\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This awesome sculpture of a life sized horse is located on Stephen Ave and made out of\u00a0mechanical equipment and junk metal parts. Pretty creative!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2014\/10\/20141010_110054.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3502\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2014\/10\/20141010_110054.jpg\" alt=\"20141010_110054\" width=\"481\" height=\"365\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This interesting sea creature or vertebrae\u00a0looking sculpture is located 4th Ave and 1st St and its called Spine and Panels. Not very creative name but its something you can&#8217;t help but stare at.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2014\/10\/20141010_105151.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3503\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2014\/10\/20141010_105151.jpg\" alt=\"20141010_105151\" width=\"438\" height=\"578\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This awesome chandelier glass sculpture is by\u00a0Dale Chihuly (I love his glass art pieces!) and can be found inside Jamison Place Building on the second floor named the Winter Garden area. This would be a great place to grab a cup of coffee and warm up from the cold and enjoy the art.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are many sculptures and art you can see in Calgary.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calgarydowntown.com\/imagedir\/File\/artwalk_web.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Here is a Calgary Downtown Art guide<\/a> that will help you plan your art walk\u00a0around\u00a0the city.
