This summer I had a chance to visit London for the first time and enjoyed the various attractions that this city has to offer. Here are some helpful tips that will make your future trip more affordable and enjoyable:<\/p>\n

Take a Free Walking Tour
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many cities offer informative walking tours that you don’t have to pay a ticket for but guides accept tips for their services. I took a SOHO tour with Strawberry Tours\u00a0<\/a>and was very pleased with all the great facts about famous individuals that have\u00a0lived a portion of their lives in this unique area of the city.<\/p>\n

2 for 1 London Eye Tickets when taking the Rail<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are taking a rail and have a buddy going with you, then take advantage of these 2 for 1 London Eye Tickets<\/a>. Purchase these tickets at least the day before and print them out before you go. This will save you a long line when you get there. You don’t have to go exactly at the time you scheduled. As long as it’s that time or later, you can ride the Eye. Later in the evening seems to be less tourists and won’t be as sunny.<\/p>\n

\nWindsor Castle<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can spend several hours touring this castle as there is so much to learn about when doing a self guided audio tour. I recommend booking online the day before <\/a>and printing out tickets. If you don’t, you may\u00a0end up in an extremely long uncovered line just to purchase entrance. If you want to see the changing of the guard inside the castle grounds, be there before 11am on Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sat.<\/p>\n

Harry Potter Studio<\/strong><\/p>\n

For all you Potterheads out there, this is the tour for you<\/a>!\u00a0\u00a0You will get to see actual props and costumes and be inside Hogwarts hall. You will even get to taste the deliciousness of butter beer (non alcoholic). This tour is so popular that you literally need to book your tickets several weeks to a month in advance. You would be extremely lucky to get tickets any sooner for general admission.<\/p>\n

The London Pass<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are planning on staying several days in London and want to see a variety of attractions, then the the cheapest option would be to purchase a London Pass<\/a>. It will get you into 70+ attraction including Windsor Castle, Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Hop on Hop off Bus Tour, Westminster Abbey, and London Zoo, to name a few.<\/p>\n
