{"id":495,"date":"2013-03-07T21:52:41","date_gmt":"2013-03-08T04:52:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/?p=495"},"modified":"2013-03-17T12:21:09","modified_gmt":"2013-03-17T19:21:09","slug":"us-city-in-review-chattanooga-tn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/2013\/03\/us-city-in-review-chattanooga-tn\/","title":{"rendered":"US City in Review: Chattanooga, TN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During a family road trip to Tennessee, we stopped in Chattanooga and we were able to go on a hike to see a beautiful view, go underground to see caves, and have some fun family time.<\/p>\n<p>Our first stop was at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rubyfalls.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ruby Falls Caves<\/a>. It was nice and cool and there were all kinds of neat formations. At the end of the cave tour, there was an indoor waterfall illuminated with lights to make it even more spectacular!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/Ruby-Falls-Caves.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-496 alignleft\" alt=\"Ruby Falls Caves\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/Ruby-Falls-Caves-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/13\/files\/sites\/13\/2013\/03\/Ruby-Falls-Caves-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/13\/files\/sites\/13\/2013\/03\/Ruby-Falls-Caves.jpg 604w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/ruby_falls.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-497\" alt=\"ruby_falls\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/ruby_falls-200x300.png\" width=\"187\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/13\/files\/sites\/13\/2013\/03\/ruby_falls-200x300.png 200w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/13\/files\/sites\/13\/2013\/03\/ruby_falls.png 260w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 187px) 100vw, 187px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you are feeling adventurous, you can do some <a href=\"http:\/\/rubyfallszip.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">zip lining<\/a> and see the tree tops at Ruby Falls. I&#8217;ve been zip lining before and it is exhilarating!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/See-Seven-States.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-502\" alt=\"See Seven States\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/See-Seven-States-300x225.jpg\" width=\"267\" height=\"204\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, we hiked up <a href=\"http:\/\/seerockcity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lookout Mountain<\/a> and saw the Rock City Gardens, Lovers Leap with a beautiful waterfall, and you can see seven states at the very top. The hike was fun because you had to cross bridges and squeeze in between rocks to get to the top.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/Lookout-Falls.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-501\" alt=\"Lookout Falls\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/Lookout-Falls-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/13\/files\/sites\/13\/2013\/03\/Lookout-Falls-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/giddyforpoints\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/13\/files\/sites\/13\/2013\/03\/Lookout-Falls.jpg 384w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During March for St. Patrick&#8217;s Day, they have their Irish Celebration and festival with Irish music, food, green beer and wine, and they dye the falls green. They have <a href=\"http:\/\/seerockcity.com\/pages\/Festivals-Entertainment\/\" target=\"_blank\">events throughout the year<\/a> to attend for continuous family fun!<\/p>\n<p>In downtown Chattanooga, there is the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chattanoogariverfront.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Riverfront <\/a>which has good restaurants, river boat tours, shopping, the Aquarium, and hosts the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.riverbendfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Riverbend Festival<\/a> every year with concerts, fireworks, and tons of fun!
