Club Carlson Triple Points Promo

Well, when I wrote last night about my Radisson stay for 50,000 points, I promised to keep all of you up to date with any big promotions that come along. Although not as big as their last offer, Club Carlson has announced a new promotion for the 1st quarter of 2012. The promotion is for triple points for all hotel stays between January 10th and March 16th. To be eligible, you need to have a Club Carlson account and then go and register for the promotion.

Triple Points Registration Page

Club Carlson members normally earn 20 points per dollar spent at Radisson, Country Inn & Suites, Park Inn, and Park Plaza hotels. With this promotion, you will be earning an additional 40 points per dollar for a total of 60 points for each dollar you spend on room charges and food and beverages at participating hotels. Since Club Carlson award nights start at just 9,000 points for Category 1 hotels, you could actually earn enough for a free night after spending just $150 at Club Carlson properties during this promotion. The promotion registration page says “Triple Points. Faster Nights.” and I guess they really mean it.

Perhaps the best part of this promotion is that there is no list of excluded properties, so it appears that this offer is good for any Carlson property in the world. This is a welcome change from the usual long list of exclusions that have become normal with Starwood promotions. In addition, you start earning triple points on your first stay and even on single night stays.B In my opinion, this is the best promotion we have seen yet for hotels in 2012. If I need a place to stay between now and March 16th, I am definitely going to look for a Club Carlson hotel and I would suggest that you do the same.
