“Paine” Spotting At Boeing’s House: Part III
My third day stalking aircraft at Paine Field turned out to be the slowest since it happened to be a Saturday and apparently Boeing doesn’t think it needs to put on a show for plane spotters on a weekend…
Though only a few Boeing aircraft operated on Saturday, it was still time well spent at the Future Of Flight. I highly recommend a visit to the facility should you find yourself in the Seattle area. Paine Field is only a 30 minute drive from downtown Seattle, making it easy to reach and worth the effort.
The only airliners that had any activity on my last day was AeroMexico’s first 787 as well as FlyDubai’s 737. If you recall from Part I, I had initially captured FlyDubai’s 737 arriving at Paine Field on Thursday. Other than that, Saturday passed quietly until I headed for the airport for my 5 segment red-eye flight home…..
With it being a quiet day, I had a chance to take photos of a variety of 787s parked on the ramp. Most of the aircraft were either completed and awaiting delivery or were receiving their final touches before heading for their respective homes. Please note that most of these photos were taken at 450-500mm without a tripod so they may not be the sharpest photos you’ve ever seen!
As I mentioned earlier, I was able to get another glimpse at FlyDubai’s 737:
