{"id":1779,"date":"2016-09-11T09:10:38","date_gmt":"2016-09-11T16:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/milespointsreselling\/?p=1779"},"modified":"2016-09-11T09:10:38","modified_gmt":"2016-09-11T16:10:38","slug":"sourcing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/milespointsreselling\/2016\/09\/11\/sourcing\/","title":{"rendered":"Sourcing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been thinking a lot lately about sourcing. \u00a0There are 4 main websites I look at for sourcing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Staples<\/li>\n<li>eBay<\/li>\n<li>Dicks<\/li>\n<li>REI Garage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Staples and eBay were my go to websites during\u00a0the good old days reselling iPads. \u00a0Since those days appear to be gone I&#8217;ve focused a lot more on sports and outdoor categories. \u00a0You can find some real hidden gems in Dick&#8217;s clearance and at REI.<\/p>\n<p>However, I am such a cautious guy when it comes to these things that when I find a good deal I sometimes struggle to get myself to pull the trigger to make a large bulk purchase. \u00a0Instead I will by a half \u00a0dozen and see how it goes. \u00a0With what I&#8217;ve seen at REI and Dicks you really need to buy a large bulk amount to make real money.<\/p>\n<p>Staples is still my favorite thanks to my favorite reselling combo of uPromise 5%, Ink 5%, and Staples Rewards 5%. \u00a0Although ever since iPads dried up I have struggled to find killer deals. \u00a0Done ok with external hard drives, but the downside to that is you are typically competing with Amazon. \u00a0No bueno.<\/p>\n<p>eBay can be great when they are offering bonus on eBay Bucks. \u00a0It is funny though, I seem to have this mental block with eBay that makes it hard for me to trust I&#8217;m buying something that isn&#8217;t stolen. \u00a0So I don&#8217;t source there as much as a I probably should. \u00a0Need to get better at that.<\/p>\n<p>I want to expand where I source from. \u00a0Thinking about Walmart. \u00a0I&#8217;ve literally never spent a penny at Walmart. \u00a0This is something that started for me in college as a protest over their business practices. \u00a0I still don&#8217;t like their business practices but they are so friendly with MS that I am thinking about ending that protest.<\/p>\n<p>I also need to take a good look at uPromise and see other stores where they offer 5% cash back.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been thinking a lot lately about sourcing. \u00a0There are 4 main websites I look at for sourcing.
