{"id":1832,"date":"2017-03-12T07:25:43","date_gmt":"2017-03-12T14:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/milespointsreselling\/?p=1832"},"modified":"2017-03-12T07:25:43","modified_gmt":"2017-03-12T14:25:43","slug":"im-done-miles-points-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/milespointsreselling\/2017\/03\/12\/im-done-miles-points-now\/","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;m Done With Miles &amp; Points&#8230;&#8230;..for now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the last couple of years this credit card \u00a0game keeps getting harder and harder. \u00a0The combination of banks tightening approvals and MS getting more difficult is frustrating. \u00a0For me, the straw that broke the camels back was when Fred Meyer started cracking down on using prepaids to buy MOs. \u00a0As a result I&#8217;ve slowed my churning. \u00a0To the point where recently\u00a0I realized I got one new card in the last 12 months. \u00a0So I have decided to try something new.<\/p>\n<p>I am going to quit.<\/p>\n<p>Well&#8230;for 12 more months anyway. \u00a0That will bring me down to 1 card in the last 24 months. \u00a0My plan at that point is to the start over like a noob. \u00a0Hit Chase pretty hard and max out any other good deals after that. \u00a0I then may reassess and see if I want to start the 24 month cycle over again.<\/p>\n<p>When I start over in 12 months I will still have the MS problem but I have some solutions \u00a0to that. \u00a0First, I will probably still do some MOs. \u00a0I don&#8217;t really like the whole MO game, it feels too close to a money launderer\/scammer but I will probably still continue when I am in a pinch. \u00a0Second, reselling is still an excellent MS opportunity so I will max that out. Finally, I still have a bluebird!<\/p>\n<p>I manage to have one bluebird avoid the purge. \u00a0Since then I have successfully churned bluebirds without getting shut down. \u00a0I will max it out for a 30 day period (preferably cover overlapping two calendar months) and then shut it down.
