{"id":70,"date":"2015-09-20T07:11:02","date_gmt":"2015-09-20T14:11:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/milespointsreselling.com\/?p=70"},"modified":"2016-02-14T08:31:58","modified_gmt":"2016-02-14T16:31:58","slug":"150-off-ipad-air-2-at-staples-potential-100-profit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/milespointsreselling\/2015\/09\/20\/150-off-ipad-air-2-at-staples-potential-100-profit\/","title":{"rendered":"$150 Off iPad Air 2 at Staples &#8211; Potential $100+ Profit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/milespointsreselling\/files\/2015\/09\/Screen-Shot-2015-09-20-at-7.09.15-AM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-71\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/milespointsreselling\/files\/2015\/09\/Screen-Shot-2015-09-20-at-7.09.15-AM-300x157.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2015-09-20 at 7.09.15 AM\" width=\"629\" height=\"340\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>**<strong>UPDATE: \u00a0I just bought two through uPromise. \u00a0I did not double dip. \u00a0I want to see if I will get rewards points and uPromise cash back. \u00a0If I get both the cash back and the points I will probably buy two more before the deal is over and try to double dip.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>**UPDATE: \u00a0See this is the nice thing about journaling, you learn with me. \u00a0Double dipping was killed awhile ago. \u00a0Man I wish I got into this reselling thing sooner.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am really enjoying these iPad sales. \u00a0Staples has a promotion running until September 26, 2015 for $150 off iPad Air 2s. \u00a0This presents a pretty good reselling opportunity. \u00a0Straight up here is how the deal breaks down.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>iPad Air 2 64 GB<\/li>\n<li>MSRP = $599<\/li>\n<li>Staples Price = $449<\/li>\n<li>Amazon Price = $549<\/li>\n<li>Amazon Fees = $34.92<\/li>\n<li>Profit = $65.08<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Straight up that is a pretty good reselling opportunity. \u00a0However, I see a couple of options to make the deal even better.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Option 1 &#8211;\u00a0Discounted Giftcards<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cardpool.com currently sells Staples gift cards for a 6% discount. \u00a0That is a savings of $26.83. \u00a0Under option 1\u00a0your profit would increase to $82.91. \u00a0Not too shabby.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Option 2 &#8211; Portal Double Dip<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Currently uPromise is offering 5% cash back on purchases made at staples. \u00a0What if you bought a gift card at Staples for $449. \u00a0You would get $22.45 in cash back from uPromise. The big question then becomes can you double dip? \u00a0That is can you go back through the uPromise Portal and purchase the iPad with the gift card with another 5% cash back? \u00a0If you can, that would be another $22.45. \u00a0Now you are looking at a profit of \u00a0$109.98.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Option 3 &#8211; Double Dip + Staples Rewards + Ink<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In all of the above scenarios \u00a0I left out an important extra, Staples Rewards. \u00a0Staples will give you 5% back in Staples Rewards which can be used towards a future purchase. \u00a0In each of the above scenarios you should add $22.45 in staples rewards. Another potential extra is if you have a Chase Ink credit card. \u00a0Chase Ink will give you an additional 5x Ultimate Rewards points on the purchase price. \u00a0So if you double dip, use a Chase Ink card for the purchase and use Staples rewards your take away will look like this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Profit = $109.98<\/li>\n<li>Staples Rewards = $22.50<\/li>\n<li>Chase Ultimate Rewards = 2245<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This of course is the ideal scenario but I think there are two potential road blocks worth mentioning. \u00a01. Can you double dip? \u00a0I&#8217;ve heard of people being successful double dipping through portals so it&#8217;s possible. \u00a02.
