We headed down to the Larcomar at 7am to start our own walking tour. We took a tico (local taxi)  from the Sheraton Lima for 15 soles ~ $5.70 USD which should really be 10 soles, but I didn’t feel like bargaining since there were two of us. It was really foggy at 7 in the morning, so I could barely take any clear pictures of the Larcomar which is a huge open air mall with a food court in Miraflores. Think of the Miraflores district like Santa Monica where there are lush green parks along the coast. In this case, the coastal route is like the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) of Miraflores.

Walking along the coast, there was a Virgin Mary statue in Parque Salazar near the Larcomar.

North of the Virgin Mary statue is Parque Gran Mariscal Mariano Necochea.

Walking North of the coast, you can find Parque del Amor which is also known as Love Park.

Parque del Amor is also home to beautiful hand painted murals.

Next to Parque del Amor is the famous Faro de la Marina, a lighthouse in Miraflores.

Miraflores is famous for parapentes also known as paragliding. It was super early in the morning and the Tadem paragliding companies usually set up during noon on clear skies.

Strolling through the residential streets of Miraflores, I found street vendors already open for business.

Parque Central de Miraflores (Miraflores Central Park) is home to many quaint restaurants and the famous La Lucha Sangucheria chain restaurant.

Parque Kennedy is home to the famous Iglesia Medalla Milagrosa also as known as the Miraflores Church.
