Alaska Airlines Board Room at LAX Airport Terminal 6

Last night, I flew on a red-eye from LAX-MCO on Delta. Delta Airlines at LAX primarily operates out of Terminal 5, but some flights depart out of Terminal 6. There is an underground tunnel that connects Terminal 5 and Terminal 6. The cool thing about Terminal 6 is that there is an Alaska Airlines Board Room Lounge that is accessible via Priority Pass. It’s much better than the Delta Skyclub in almost every way.

Near the front desk is a free Wi-Fi code available throughout the Board Room. There is also a nice departures board, possibly the largest I’ve ever seen inside a lounge.

The lounge was relatively quiet on a Sunday evening, including the Children’s play room and full service bar.

The Delta Skyclub is often packed on any given night, but the Board Room was very quaint and cozy. The available snacks are also a huge plus. The Board Room offers a self-service salad station with cubed cheeses. In addition, chicken enchilada soup was available. This beats the SkyClub in Terminal 5 by far in terms of food.

There is also a self-service soda fountain which is a rarity nowadays with many lounges that only have a soda gun via the bartender.

The best part about this lounge is the pancake machine. It was out of order, but I’ve had amazing pancakes at this lounge in the past.

I had a little bit of everything and the chicken enchilada soup was amazingly good and the salad was fresh.

Next time you fly out of Delta Terminal 5, head on over to the Alaska Airlines Board Room at LAX Airport Terminal 6 even if your flight doesn’t depart out of Terminal 6. Just make sure you have ample time to walk through the underground tunnel to make your flight.
