Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort Hotel Review

I recently planned a quick jaunt to Tucson from my hometown of Los Angeles. I booked the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort Hotel for 6,400 American Airlines miles. I called up the hotel to have them add my Hilton HHonors Gold number so I could earn points and stay/night credit.

The hotel is located in beautiful Oro Valley which is a thirty minute drive north from Tucson airport. I pulled up to the hotel and self-parked for free.

I asked the front desk agent if I could check in early and she said that my room was ready.

She explained that I was upgraded to a room with a view of the pool and the mountains. She handed me a welcome letter that listed my benefits at the hotel as a Gold member. I was shocked that the hotel provided a complimentary round of golf for up to 4 people!

She also handed me a wristband for pool access. If you ever need a 4pm late checkout at this property, be prepared to pay $50.

As I went to my room, I snapped few beautiful pictures of the resort grounds.

Originally I booked a King room, but was given two queens. It didn’t matter to me as I just wanted a nice clean room to sleep and work.

The room was pretty big and contained a chair with an ottoman, executive desk, and a TV.

The welcome amenity was two bottles of water and peanut brittle. I thought the peanut brittle was a nice gesture.

The restroom was pretty small and contained three sets of bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.

The best part about the room was the outdoor balcony that boasted a beautiful view of the pool and the mountains.

Breakfast at the resort is complimentary for Gold members. It’s a continental breakfast valued at $12. If you don’t like the continental option, you can use the $12 as a credit to anything on the menu at Sundance Cafe.

I chose to order off the menu and ordered Huevos Rancheros. It was delicious.

The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador does not disappoint at all. I didn’t have much time to spend at the resort, but I would definitely take them up on the complimentary round of golf for up to 4 people as stated on the welcome letter. I had a great time and the resort grounds were simply beautiful.
