The Sights and Sounds of Barrio Engativa in Bogota

Barrio Engativa is a poor working class neighborhood located close to Bogota International Airport. The neighborhood of Engativa is very industrial and desolate. It’s almost representative of the slums of Bogota, but it hasn’t quite reached there yet.

Many of the shops and restaurants were boarded up and closed for good.

Thankfully there were numerous street vendors on the intersection of Calle 63 and Transversal 93.

The locals of Barrio Engativa were friendly and most of them were just hanging around talking with friends and having a good time.
