Le Meridien Nice Hotel Review Part 2

I had a quick dinner at the Le Colonial Café which is the main restaurant inside the Le Meridien Nice hotel. I found it quite funny that there were only 5 items on the chalkboard menu to choose from. There were menu choices from five different countries such as Germany, Spain, France, Argentina, and Ireland.

I chose the German one, which was Simmental Hangar Steak with shallot sauce and homemade potatoes.

The steak was outstanding and the price was quite reasonable at 24 euros since it included tax and tip. Starwood Platinum members receive 10 percent off and my total came out to 21.60 euros.

Breakfast the next morning was at the same restaurant, Le Colonial Café. I’m not sure how much the breakfast buffet would cost since I chose breakfast as my Starwood Platinum amenity.

The hot selections in the breakfast buffet were scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, and crepes.

The cold selections included bread, pastries, cereal, and fresh fruits.

There was also a beverage bar if you wanted water, juices, soft drinks, or anything alcoholic from the bartenders.

I had a little bit of everything from the hot selections. The French pastries were the best part since croissants are my weakness.

Overall, the Le Meridien Nice treated me fairly well and the Platinum recognition was amazing (even though it was booked through a third party). The room was adequate and clean with fast Wi-Fi internet. The location can’t be beat as it’s one of the only hotels in Nice that’s on the main Promenade des Anglais. Nice is a walking city and it was very easy to get around on foot and by bus. I would highly recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat if I were ever in Nice again.
