Sheraton Libertador Buenos Aires Hotel Review Part 2

The Sheraton Libertador hotel has a Club Lounge for Starwood Platinum members and guests staying on the club level. I visited the Club Lounge during evening appetizer hours. If you wish to have breakfast at the hotel, don’t head to the Club Lounge because the breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant. I am always quite pleasant when the hotel offers breakfast in the restaurant instead of the Club Lounge because it eliminates space restriction, therefore providing more choices and more food.

The Club Lounge was quite small, but adequate and cozy.

The evening appetizers spread was quite vast and contained a lot of hot selections.

There was also an espresso machine and juice available. Soft drinks are available from the lounge attendant.

I had a little bit of everything and it was delicious.

Breakfast was served in the main restaurant and was in a white tablecloth setting. How fancy.

The hot selections included scrambled eggs, poached eggs, bacon, sausage, potato balls, and strangely red rice and beans. I don’t know about you, but red rice and beans is a traditional Southern dish and this is Argentina.

There were also various pastry selections.

In addition, there were cold meats and cheeses along with cereal, yogurt, fruit, and a salad bar.

I had a little bit of everything and the food was outstanding. I’m still puzzled by the red beans and rice dish.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is in a more central location for tourism. The hotel is located right in the heart of Microcenter (downtown) which is walking distance to the Subte (subway) and many bus lines. The service was excellent at the hotel and I especially loved the food at the club lounge and breakfast at the restaurant. This hotel knows how to treat their Platinum members. I have to admit that this hotel is a little dated and it is showing in the furniture, but it’s adequate for what it’s worth. If you need luxury, head over to the more upscale Sheraton in Retiro or even the Park Tower. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
