If you’re reading this, you probably know by now that FIFA released 180,000 World Cup tickets for all the matches which makes it one hot ticket. The sale just went on sale an hour ago on June 4, 2014 at 12:01am Brasilia time.
If you’re me and trying to get the coveted Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro games, you’re probably stuck in the waiting room and a message like this:
“Thank you for your interest in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, a unique opportunity to see some of the game’s biggest stars compete in twelve wonderful host cities.
Please wait whilst we transfer you to the FIFA.com/tickets page. Due to an exceedingly high demand for access to the ticketing page, you have been placed in a virtual waiting room.
We apologise for the delay.
Please note, Tickets are allocated on a First-Come First-Served basis, so you are advised not to click away from this page.
Customers wishing to contact us with ticketing enquiries may do by phone on 0300 021 2014 for Brazilian residents, or +41 445 831000 for international customers.
We look forward to welcoming you and your guests to the tournament and trust you will enjoy the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ experience.”
I’ve been in the waiting room for a little less than an hour and a half and I’m pretty sure the home opener on June 12 in Sao Paulo is sold out. I’m also betting that all of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro stadium game matches are sold out as well.
Has anyone been successful at the last minute sales phase or are you still stuck in the waiting queue like me?
I had the same experince during the last week trying to get some tickets. If is not in the FIFA web page, how can we buy the tickets?
