The Sights and Sounds of Recoleta in Buenos Aires Part 2

I’ve previously wrote about the Recoleta neighborhood which is a middle class neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Recoleta is my least favorite neighborhood because it’s much gentrified and has become very hipster. It’s also overflowing with tourists which is a big turnoff for me but I keep coming back to visit the famous Recoleta Cemetery. It could be my last since I’m so sick of it!

Recoleta is middle class, so you will find art and theaters such as the Palais de Glace (Palacio Nacional de Las Artes).

There are also many independent shops and bookstores such as Cuspide Libros.

The Recoleta Cementerio is where the famous María Eva Duarte de Perón (Evita) is buried. Be aware that it’s hard to locate her grave (I couldn’t even find it), so be sure to ask an employee.
