Santiago Airport LAN Airlines Neruda Salon VIP Lounge

Last year I wrote about the SCL Airport Neruda Salon VIP Lounge which I visited during breakfast hours. I found the breakfast spread disappointing, but this time I visited the same exact lounge during evening hours. The difference in the buffet spread was like night and day in the LAN Airlines Neruda Salon VIP Lounge at Santiago International Airport.

I was able to access the LAN Airlines Neruda Salon VIP Lounge at SCL Airport due to my American Airlines Executive Platinum oneworld emerald status flying on an international itinerary. To reach the lounge, you have to descend a flight of stairs.

There was also a guestbook in the lounge if you wanted to make your mark.

My flight was scheduled to leave at 11:30pm and I arrived around 10:20pm where the lounge wasn’t at capacity. It was almost time to board at 10:30pm, so I had to snap some pictures quickly (apologize for the blurriness).

There was also a business center with individual desks equipped with computers.

The buffet spread consisted of various deli meats, cheeses, mini sandwiches, and even sushi.

There was also fresh fruit, cookies, brownies, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream for dessert.

Non-alcoholic beverages were available such as various juices and a coffee maker. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages were available from the mini fridge below the buffet spread table.

Chilled and non-chilled wine was also available.

I was in a rush to board my flight and wasn’t hungry, but I had room for Haagen-Daz Belgian chocolate ice cream.
