How to Get From Foz do Iguacu to Iguazu Falls in Brazil by Bus

I just got back from a recent trip to Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian side and wrote 10 Things I Learned From My Recent trip to Foz do Iguacu, Brazil. There’s so much bad information on the internet on how to get from Centro Downtown Foz do Iguacu to Parque Nacional Brazil via public transportation. Here’s a step by step guide on How to Get From Foz do Iguacu to Iguazu Falls in Brazil by Bus.

Step 1. Read the time-table in PDF format for a scheduled list of times the bus departs from the Foz do Iguacu Central Bus Terminal (T.T.U). Look for TTU>>CRV.

Step 2. Get to the Terminal de Transporte Urbano (TTU) central bus station in downtown Foz do Iguacu. It’s right across the street from the Parque Zoologico Bosque Guarani (Zoo). Here’s a map on where the location is:

Step 3. Look for Bus 120 which goes to Iguazu Falls and stand by the large Cataratas Iguassu Falls sign.

Step 4. Buy a ticket onboard the bus for R$2.90 reais ~ $0.95 USD which is good for a one-way towards Parque Nacional Brazil.

Step 5. The bus makes many stops along the way to drop off and pick up passengers. It also makes a stop at Foz do Iguacu International Airport (IGU) before continuing onto the National Park on the Brazil side. Get off at the last stop (You’ll notice everyone leaving the bus) and you will have arrived at Cataratas do Iguacu (Parque National Brazil).

Step 6. The National Park Brazil opens at 9am where you can stand in line at buy a general admission ticket for R$52.30 reais ~ $17.20 USD which is the foreigner price. The price is almost half off for Brazilian nationals, but you must present your ID for proof of residency.

If you want to get back from Parque Nacional Brazil to Foz do Iguazu’s Central Bus Station (TTU), follow the steps in reverse. For the list of bus schedules, check out this bus time-table PDF file and look for CRV>>TTU and PNE which stands for Parque Nacional.

This is also a great way to get from Foz do Iguazu city center to IGU Airport and make sure to study the time tables in Step 1. Conversely, it’s a great way to get from Foz do Iguacu International Airport to Foz do Iguazu city center.

Let me know if this helps and I’ll be happy to answer any of your questions.
