{"id":10188,"date":"2014-04-03T16:29:05","date_gmt":"2014-04-03T23:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/?p=10188"},"modified":"2014-04-03T16:31:24","modified_gmt":"2014-04-03T23:31:24","slug":"vanilla-reloads-cvs-now-displaying-tender-type-valid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/2014\/04\/03\/vanilla-reloads-cvs-now-displaying-tender-type-valid\/","title":{"rendered":"Vanilla Reloads at CVS Are Now Displaying \u201cTender Type is Not Valid\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, I wrote an article titled, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/2014\/03\/30\/tomorrow-death-vanilla-reloads-cvs\/\" target=\"_blank\">Is Tomorrow the Death of Vanilla Reloads at CVS?<\/a>\u201d April 1st was the death of Vanilla Reloads for some stores, but the hard-coded \u201ccash only\u201d POS update has slowly been trickling down to your local CVS register.<\/p>\n<p>The word on the street is that the entire rollout will start on April 4th, so I headed to my \u201cgo to\u201d CVS location for one last shot at Vanilla Reloads. She showed me the screen saying \u201cTender Type is Not Valid\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/files\/2014\/04\/pointssummary_vanilla3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10182\" alt=\"pointssummary_vanilla3\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/files\/2014\/04\/pointssummary_vanilla3.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/\/sites\/12\/2014\/04\/pointssummary_vanilla3.jpg 480w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/\/sites\/12\/2014\/04\/pointssummary_vanilla3-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/\/sites\/12\/2014\/04\/pointssummary_vanilla3-400x533.jpg 400w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/\/sites\/12\/2014\/04\/pointssummary_vanilla3-200x266.jpg 200w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/\/sites\/12\/2014\/04\/pointssummary_vanilla3-150x200.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I tried swiping my card again and it displayed the same message. The cashier didn\u2019t know anything about the POS update and was shocked to learn that Vanilla Reloads at CVS are now displaying \u201cTender Type is Not Valid\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, all good things must come to an end until we figure out the next best thing.
