Plaza El Amate is a large shopping complex located in Zona 1<\/a> of Guatemala City. I got there by walking South from Plaza Constitucional to the Transmetro station called Estacion El Amate. On the outside, it looks like a circular stadium that is filled with vendor stalls.<\/p>\n

The best way to reach Plaza El Amate is by taking the Transmetro to Estacion El Amate. As you can see from the sign, there are also food options such as Pollo Campero (fried chicken), Sarita (helado or ice cream), and many other fast food joints.<\/p>\n
