El Trebol is a neighborhood technically located in Zona 11 and borders Zona 7 and 8. I was able to take the Transmetro to the Estacion El Trebol which is pretty much the main transit artery of Guatemala City. You will lots of people walking through El Trebol as there are many pedestrians, cars, taxis, Transmetro buses, and chicken buses.<\/p>\n

Right across the street from El Trebol Transmetro station is another one of Guatemala\u2019s Red Light Districts. It\u2019s not as seedy as La Linea<\/a>, but it\u2019s pretty much the same deal but in different street blocks. I didn\u2019t take any pictures due to the fact that there were working prostitutes.<\/p>\n

However, I did take pictures of the main Boluevard, Blvd. Liberacion which turns into Calzada Roosevelt Street in the El Trebol neighborhood. The pedestrian sidewalk was very active as I saw many children getting out of school and Guatemalans walking towards public transit options.<\/p>\n

There are other ways of getting around the city such as chicken buses that are refurbished School buses from the United States.<\/p>\n

If you get into the heart of El Trebol, you can find many odd things for sale such as weight scales, old Nintendo cartridge games, and even pets.<\/p>\n

Once you get deeper into El Trebol under the many tents, you can find broken toilets for sale.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re feeling a bit nostalgic, you can buy items such as CRT TV\u2019s, pagers, clunky fax machines, 80\u2019s telephones, and all sorts of junk.<\/p>\n

If you walk down further towards Calzada Roosevelt Street, you can find a nice modern shopping center called the Miraflores Mall. It was such a breath of fresh air to get away from \u201ctent city\u201d and into an air conditioned mall with free WiFi.<\/p>\n
