My flight from Narita was scheduled to get into Singapore at 12:30am. It didn\u2019t make sense to book an expensive hotel if I was going to arrive late at night. I started looking into budget accommodations in the city and found a single room with a private bathroom for 55 SGD ~ ($43.92 USD) taxes included. The hotel was a budget chain in Singapore called the Fragrance Hotel. There are many Fragrance hotels within Singapore and I happened to book one right in the red light district called Fragrance Hotel \u2013 Sunflower.<\/p>\n

I ended up getting to the hotel at 1:30am because of the long immigration and customs lines at Changi International Airport (SIN). (I took the exterior picture the next morning.)<\/p>\n

The front desk agent informed me that the Superior room I booked had been sold out for the night. She said that I was upgraded to a Deluxe room. I love upgrades!<\/p>\n

The deluxe room consisted of a working desk and chair, TV, two complimentary bottles of water, and a coffee machine. The hair dryer was located outside the bathroom (more on that later).<\/p>\n

There was also a queen size bed along with an air conditioner unit in the room.<\/p>\n

The bathroom was an all-in-one combo, meaning that the sink, toilet, and shower are all in one room. That\u2019s why the hair dryer was located outside.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a basic no frills room and I only stayed there until 6am where I wandered around the streets of Singapore. Did I mention that there\u2019s no Wi-Fi available at this hotel? That\u2019s one downside, but 55 SGD, who cares? All I needed was a clean room to spend a few hours in and it suited me perfectly.<\/p>\n
